#TheSW30: Day 16.

* If you planted a time capsule right now of your life to be opened in 20 years, what would be in it?

Time capsules are something that I think are pretty cool ever since I watched an episode of Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide years ago--back when TV was good. They let us bury some pieces of our lives at that moment and allows us to be mentally transported back to a certain time of our lives. There's SO many things I would put into my time capsule, if I could. Hopefully, I don't bore y'all to death with my stroll down time capsule lane:

1) An NCLEX study book--I chose this because I'm currently in my last year of my college's nursing program, which means that hopefully soon, I'll be gearing up to take the NCLEX to obtain my license to practice as a registered nurse! *Fingers crossed that I pass the 1st time*

2) a copy of all my degrees (high school diploma, my bachelor's  and my associate's degree)--I worked oh so hard for all three of those degrees, primarily in the last two years of high school.

3) Something with MJ on it--I don't really have a preference on what the item is, as long as Michael Joe Jackson is on it somewhere. Most people that know me are are that I am a HUGE fan of him and think he's pretty damn hot! But in all honesty, I do think that he was a wonderful with a wonderful talent & there will never be another artist like that probably ever again.

4) a couple of my favorite books-- I'm also an avid reader, so I have quite a bit of books in my room at home. I think that reading allows to physically be present in the world , but to escape from reality mentally. Some of my favorite books are Bridge to Terabithia, The Color of Water, Moonwalk, Dancing the Dream, and The Single Woman (of course:]).

5) a completely filled smashbook--I've first taken an interest in smashing about  two years ago. For those that don't know, smashing is very identical to scrapbooking; the only differences are in the size of the book you're using and the cost--> smashing is usually cheaper than scrapbooking.

6) a crochet needle and yarn--I absolutely love to crochet! I've been doing for abut 12 years and it really relaxes me. Currently, I'm learning how to crochet flowers and fingerless gloves :)

7) an old picture of picture of myself with relaxed hair and a picture of myself with my natural hair--I like looking back on my hair journey to see where I stated and compare it to where I am now being natural for almost a year. Plus, it's cool to see Mandela (yes, my fro has a name) all curly and stuff! I always loved really curly hair so it's cool that I now have a head of my own wild curls to play in!

Those are just some of the thing's I'd put in my time capsule. I'd literally be on this post FOREVER listing stuff  because I'm a bit of a pack rat and don't like to get rid of anything (I'm working on it slowly but surely). But, I hope that you guys enjoyed my post! :)
