#TheSW30: Day 12 & 13 --New & Improved
Hello, all. I decided to skip day 9, 10 & 11 last minute because my answers haven't really changed from last year's--check out day 9's post here, and days 10 and 11 here-so I decided to go forth to day 12 and 13.
So, let's begin with day 12, shall we??
So, let's begin with day 12, shall we??
- Your proudest accomplishment: After the emotional warfare I've endured the past few months (which I may address later), it;s been kinda rough to really pick an accomplishment, but I do have one: obtaining my registered nurse license. Since I've graduated in May, I pretty spent all my summer and the beginning of fall studying for the National Council Licensure Examination , or NCLEX, for short. There are two versions of the test, one for practical nurses (PN), the other for registered nurses (RN). As you can probably figure out, the RN version is a little more in depth content wise and can take longer to answer as well. Both exams are computerized and are based on a pass/fail scale, essentially translating to the testee answer until the computer determines whether or not that person is competent enough to hold a nursing license and safely practice in the field. It is VERY stressful before, during and after the test taking process . Plus , having to spend close to $300 to even take the test??? Yeah, the stakes were definitely on. As I stated previously, I pretty much studied from the beginning of June till mid October--when I took my exam. The night before and day of, I was a big ol bundle of nerves!! My life was potentially about to change forever in a few short hours. On the way to the testing center, I had caught a glimpse of a rainbow I took it as a sign of good fortune and luck. .
About a day later, I discovered that I had passed my exam!! I was officially a registered nurse!!
Now, for day 13:
- Describe how you met the last person you texted and talk about your friendship/relationship: that would be my best friend Ayris . She's one of the oldest friends that I have . I believe that we met when I was 8 and she was 9 at church . We've seen each other at some of the best and worst moments of our lives, yet here we still stand almost 15 years later!! Personally, I know how difficult it can be to maintain a friendship nowadays, especially one for that long of a period of time. I still find it kind of funny that we're best friends because we're total opposites--she's more outgoing while I'm more laidback and quiet. Regardless, I'm happy that I still have her in my life :)
